COVID-19: Lagos Leads As NCDC Records 1,056 New Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1,056 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.

This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 141,447.

In a tweet on Tuesday night, the public health agency disclosed that so far, it has recorded 115,755 recoveries and 1,694 COVID-19 related deaths.

See the breakdown of the new cases: Lagos-214, Osun-120, FCT-116, Plateau-88, Ebonyi-75, Kwara-73, Gombe-70, Ondo-57, Rivers-47, Akwa Ibom-38, Edo-25, Oyo-23, Kano-22, Delta-19, Katsina-18, Borno-16, Nasarawa-13, Ekiti-8, Ogun-8, Bauchi-4, Benue-1 and Jigawa-1.

“Our discharges today includes 478 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” it added.
