Covid-19: Funke Akindele breaks Silence After Prosecution

 

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, has broken her silence after being prosecuted by the government of Lagos State.

Funke, popularly known as Jenifa, was arrested, charged to court and convicted by the state government for breaking the social distancing rule when she hosted a birthday party for her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skills.

The actress and her husband were sentenced to 14-day community service and fined N100,000 each.

Popular singer, Naira Marley and other regular faces in the entertainment industry also attended the party held at Amen Estate.

The comic actress said she has learnt a lot from her ordeals during the trial and prosecution.

Jenifa, in a video she shared on Instagram on Sunday, which was to sensitise the her followers, said: “These past few weeks have been a learning curve but we must keep moving forward.

“My dear friends, coronavirus is real. We must collaborate with the Lagos State Government and Federal Government by staying at home, staying safe.”
