195 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in the country, says the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The newly confirmed cases now takes the national toll to 3145.
The confirmed cases and their respective states are ; 82-Lagos, 30-Kano, 19-Zamfara, 18-Sokoto, 10-Borno, 9-FCT, 8-Oyo, 5-Kebbi, 5-Gombe, 4-Ogun, 3-Katsina, 1-Kaduna, and 1-Adamawa.
The Centre for Disease Control, while making the disclosure via its Twitter handle, Wednesday, wrote :
“3145 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria with 534 discharges, 103 and recorded deaths.”
The coronavirus, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, has infected over 3.8 million people worldwide, crippling economic activities globally.
Since the confirmation of the first case of coronavirus in Nigeria, an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan, Italy to Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th of February 2020, and was confirmed by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, part of the Laboratory Network of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The disease has spread to over 34 states in Nigeria, with Lagos remaining the epicenter, with over 1308 confirmed cases.
