COVID-19: Anambra Leads As NCDC Records 240 New Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 240 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 155,657.

The health agency made the confirmation via an update on its official website, on Sunday night.

Also, 2 new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, as total fatality now stands at 1,907. Till date, the NCDC has discharged 133,768 patients who were treated and recovered from the virus.

Noticeably, there has been a decline in the number of recorded cases in the preceding week, as Nigeria awaits the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines.

Breakdown

The 240 new cases are reported from – Anambra (85), Lagos (82), Osun (17), Ogun (10), Kwara (9), FCT (8), Kano (7), Abia (6), Ekiti(5), Borno (4), Edo (2), Bayelsa (2) Kaduna (2) and Rivers(1).
