The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 869 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 149,369.
In a tweet on Wednesday night, the public health agency disclosed that it has recorded 125,722 recoveries and 1,787 COVID-19 related deaths so far, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
Lagos State, the epicentre of the outbreak, has 228 new cases.
