Coronavirus Is Real, Not A Death Sentence – Persons With COVID19 In Lagos (VIDEO)
Patients in a Lagos Isolation centre has disclosed that the dreadful coronavirus is real and Lagos should be careful of the disease.
In a video clip uploaded by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile, the individuals that have tested positive to COVID19 were seen bearing placards with different messages to the general public.
Some of the messages included gratitude to health workers that have been taking care of them, appreciation to Lagos State Government and also appeals to the general public to maintain social distancing and stay safe at home in order to reduce the possible spread of the virus.
It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari in a nationwide broadcast on Sunday declared partial lockdown of activities in Lagos and FCT, Abuja. He said the directive will aid the government agencies to contain and control the outbreak of the pandemic. Also, Ogun State was slated for the lock down due to its proximity to Lagos, which is the epicenter of the COVID19.
As at the time of filing this report, a total of 151 cases has been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control while a total of 9 persons have been discharged from isolation centre in Lagos. Below are the breakdown of the cases per State (and FCT)
