Coronavirus: Enugu Records First Cases As Nigeria Totals 81
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as the 11:55PM 27th March has confirmed that Nigeria now has a total of 81 confirmed cases of persons infected with COVID19.
According to the Centre’s latest statement, 11 persons were reported as fresh cases after 5 new cases were reported earlier on Friday. Out of the 11 new cases, Enugu records it’s first confirmed cases as 2 persons tested positive, 8 new cases in Lagos and one person in Edo State.
The new breakdown shows that Lagos remains the epicenter of the COVID19 in Nigeria as it has over 64% of cases recorded in the country just as the country hits 81 confirmed cases, with 3 discharged and 1 death. Also, Enugu is the first State in the South East geopolitical zone with cases of persons infected with COVID19.
As at Friday night, Lagos now has a total of 52 cases, FCT has 14, 3 cases in Ogun & Oyo States; Bauchi, Enugu and Edo has 2 cases each while Ekiti, Osun and Rivers State all have one case each.
