Comrade Prince Muyideen Olatunji Yusuf, has officially declared his intention to run for the position of Councillor, Ward B, Ikorodu West LCDA under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Comrade Prince made this known during the ward meeting held yesterday Friday.
The ward chairman Mr Akeem Olatunde, in his remarks, described the aspirant as a loyal party stalwart who is well-oriented in community and youth-centred affairs.
He further mentioned that Prince Muyideen’s uncle was a former ward chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) who contributed immensely to the growth of politics at the grassroots.
The aspirant’s letter of intent was read by the ward secretary Mr. Faruk Ibrahim to the hearing of the present party members.
Prince Muyideen then addressed the gathering, highlighting his past records in community development, youth participation, contributions to education, support for women, among other accomplishments.
He stated his 4-point agenda tagged Focus2021 E.Y.E.S Agenda which covers Effective Representation, Youth and women Empowerment, Educational support and Programs and Sporting programs.
He said that he had his primary and primary education in the ward having attended Itowolo Primary and Majidun Community Grammar School respectively.
He thereon proceeded to Rufus Giwa Polytechnic and Lagos State University where he studied Public Administration. He said he is the immediate past Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West LCDA, where he built many youths in his ward and Ikorodu Division at large.
The aspirant implored every member of his ward to support and vote for him to emerge as the party’s flagbearer in the forthcoming primary election ahead of the local government elections in Lagos State.
