Comedian, Seyi Law finally gets political appointment

Nigerian comedian Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment & Tourism to the governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed the appointment in statement on Monday.

“This appointment not only acknowledges my contributions to the entertainment industry but also reflects the trust and confidence that His Excellency, the Governor, has placed in me,” an excited Seyi Law said.

The comedian is a staunch supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu. And for many observers, his appointment is a reward for his political stance despite widespread criticism.

Earlier in the year, he defended Tinubu’s economic policies that have caused a cost of living crisis for millions of Nigerians.

“I would rather stay with Moses through the wilderness to Canaan than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt at the expense of my children’s future,” he said.
