The footage of what exactly happened in Lekki toll gate was a serious indictment to the Nigerian army and the Nigerian government.
Nigerian soldiers had allegedly shot peaceful EndSARS protesters on October 20, 2020.
Nigerian youths had trooped out enmasse to protest the end of the defunct Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the police unit over alleged brutality, extortion, and extra-judicial killings.
Following the protest that lasted for twelve days in major Nigerian cities and towns, some states had set up a judicial panel of inquiry.
