The enforcement team from the Rapid Response squad arrested Suleiman Abubakar, the Imam of Sheikh central mosque, Mile 12 ketu on the 24th April, 2020.
Bbn360 gathered that the arrest was as a result of violating Lagos State government rules of social distancing.
The Imam was said to have held evening prayers ( Magrib and Isha prayers) in the mosque with a large number of worshippers in violation of the social distancing regulations.
It was gathered that they were charged to court and were awarded fines ranging from N5,000 and N10,000 and two hours community service.
The Commissioner of police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu psc calls on residents to continue to be law abiding , especially during this lockdown period.
