The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has asked members of the public who have their accidented and exhibit cars or items parked at various police formations across the state to come forward and claim them.
The disclosure is contained in a press statement that was issued by its Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Saturday, 20th February, 2021.
“The Command detests the manner in which police formations in the state are littered with such exhibit cars and items and therefore directs the Area Commaders, Divisional Police Officers and Heads of Departments to decongest their formations of the items without delay,” the statement said.
Adejobi said the affected car owners have been given a 14-day grace to claim their cars or items afterwhich the command will be left with the option of selling off the cars and items on public auction after due court processes.
