How far a government can go in the discharge of its responsibilities depends on the input of the Civil Servants .

The Civil Service is an integral  part of any government that carries out the government policies, programs, activities and also serve as intermediary between the government and the public, the civil service can easily be classified as the vehicle that drives any government towards making it effective and efficient.

All forms of government comes and go but the civil service across the globe remains because the functionality of government squarely rests on it.

The roles of civil servants cannot be undervalued  by any government, that is why distinguished Senator and Hon Minister of State for Health ( Senator Adeleke Momora) categorically states during the 2021 Public Service Day cum Award ceremony at the International Conference center, Abuja last week, that If any government is accused of failing invariably the civil servants have failed because no government can work effectively or succeed without the civil servants, but are the civil servants who laboured all day and night for the success of any government been treated fairly?

The civil service needs to be given a sense of belonging and accommodated effectively in the scheme of things to bring about a brighter and Rewarding ending for them ( Retirement package).

The civil servants needs to be motivated in terms of their wages and allowances and other package that can help in bringing out the best in them, adequate health care programs needs to be put in place for this gallant men and women who had served their father land during and after their service, affordable and conducive  housing scheme, should be put in place for the civil servants to encourage them, prompt payment of entitlement and benefits accorded to this officers should be promptly paid to them before retirement.

Human capital in the civil service should be adequately utilized for growth and development of the sector.

Yes, as civil servants we might lay accusing fingers on a daily basis to the politicans of some lapses which are bane to the system but as civil servants, have we ever seen ourselves as 1( one)  big family in agitating for a collective and common struggle, that will be of uptimum benifits to the entire Civil Servants.

Until, we set  aside our parochial sentiments of religion, tribalism, ethnicity, nepotism etc and see ourselves as one ( 1) big family regardless of our Cadre, levels and rank before we can win a  struggle, no matter how bad you can view a politician, they see themselves as 1( one) family, when the issue of renumeration, entitlement and benefits comes up.

If we all play our role, as expected, definitely the future is bright for Federal Civil service because You can, I can and together we can make the civil service great.
