The spirit of sportsmanship has no age limit seems to be the mantra upon which the Lagos State Sports Commission invited children between the age of 9-15 years to its maiden Lagos Sports Summer Camp.
BlackBox Nigeria reliably gathered that over 100 of children who applicants to the Sports Summer Camp are currently undergoing accreditation at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Blackbox Nigeria, in an earlier report, published that the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Sports Commission ably led by the Director General, Mr Toyin Gafaar (Bolowotan) organised the Lagos State Sports Summer Camp to help participants gain self-confidence as they engage in both academics, sporting activities as well as learn new life-skills.
The Lagos State Sports Commission whose main rationale is to discover and nurture young talents disclosed that the camping is not all-sport centred, as sporting activities will take about 60%, art 15%, academics 15% and life skills 10%.
