Child Marriage: Body Features Determine Readiness, Age Is Not Important – Nigerian Lawmaker, Aliero (VIDEO)
Former Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Mohammed Aliero has said that the body features of a girl child is more important in readiness for marriage than her age.
Aliero, who is the current lawmaker representing Kebbi Central at the Nigerian Senate during an interview at Classic FM Abuja on Monday argued that the Child Right Act can not be domesticated in Nigeria as it focuses on the girl’s age.
The former 2-term Governor disclosed that according to his Islamic school of thought, the body features of any girl is more important and determines if she is ready for marriage, a position which is nullified in the Child Right Act. Watch the video of the interview below
