By How Charly Boy And ResumeorResign Protesters Were Stoned In Wuse Market, Abuja
Contrary to reports making rounds online that Charly Boy and his #ResumeorResign protesters took their protest to the popular Wuse Market in Abuja which led to them being stoned, BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the team were rather led into an ambush.
The protesters which included the OurMumuDonDo movement of Charly Boy and Deji Adeyanju’s Concerned Nigeria had matched to an area of the market to distribute protest flyers in order to have more protesters on their Wednesday movement was hijacked by an unknown group which led to stoning and lynching of the protesters.
A source in Wuse disclosed to BBN that the musician turned activist escaped from a vehicle before the touts could get hold of him. This new attack is coming barely seven days when he was also attacked by some officers attached to FCT Police Command.
It will be recalled that the Police fired tear gas at the protesters last week Wednesday after the groups gathered to commence with their sit-out at Unity Fountain, an incident that led to collapsing of Charly Boy while some others were injured.
Updates reaching BBN at this moments states that the 66 years old activist escaped from the scene of crisis unhurt.
