The Lagos State Police Command had arrested three persons for trafficking in human skull for ritual purposes. BlackBox Nigeria gathered that one of the ritualists arrested on Saturday, March 1, 2020, around 1.30 pm in Festac Town, area of Lagos State Southwest, Nigeria, led to the arrest of his other conspirators.

According to the Police, a team of policemen from Area E Command, Festac while on routine stop and search patrol at Alakija Bus Stop along Badagry expressway, had intercepted one Dauda Tijani, 42 years old of No 23 Omowunmi Street Orege, Ajegunle with a black polythene bag containing a human skull.

When questioned by the police, Dauda said, he was sent by 70-year-old herbalist, Olawale Shodolamu to collect the skull from a cemetery attendant.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered from the herbalist that he bought the human skull from one Seun Falana, 37 years old, a staff of Trinity Cemetery Ajegunle at the sum of ten thousand naira only (10,000.00) and confirmed he digs graves to remove human skulls to sell to herbalists.

The Lagos State Police Commissioner of Police CP Hakeem Olusegun Odumosu told BlackBox Nigeria that, “investigation is ongoing and that the suspects will soon be charged to court at the completion of the investigation.”
