The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the upcoming launch of its redesigned website, set to go live on Monday, December 2, 2024.
According to a circular signed by the Acting Director of Corporate Communications, Hakama Ali, the revamped platform aims to enhance user experience and expand access to information about the bank’s operations, mandate, and initiatives.
The CBN emphasized that the new website is mobile-responsive, allowing seamless navigation across different devices and web browsers.
“We are pleased to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website (www.cbn.gov.ng), which introduces a variety of new content to provide a broader spectrum of information regarding the Bank’s mandate. The website is also optimized for mobile devices to ensure a smooth user experience,” the statement read.
The bank expressed gratitude for public feedback, which influenced the redesign, and reiterated its commitment to improving communication through the platform.
In October, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso revealed during the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit that the website overhaul was part of ongoing efforts to promote transparency and accountability in the bank’s operations.
