Campaign To EndSARS Trends As Nigerians Condemn Unlawful Police Actions
Twitter Nigeria has been agog for several hours after users started a hash tag campaign to kick against the illicit acts of some Police officers, especially operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad.
BlackBox Nigeria learnt that the campaign started after different individuals gave account of brutality experienced in the hands of the operatives without being involved in any fraudulent activities.
The officers have also been accused of killing different victims who failed to dance to their tune.
It will be recalled that weeks ago, BBN reported about a situation in Badagry area of Lagos where a commuter was forced to transfer N25,000 to a bank account provided by an operative as a bail after he was arrested and withdrawn from a bus.

Aggrieved social media users accused the Nigeria Police Force of never bringing the erring officers to justice, giving room for many others to join in the illicit acts.
In reacting to this, the Force advised Nigerians to always contact the NPF Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit for Special Anti Robbery Squad. In the banner acquired by BBN, the Force insisted a “No to Impunity” status and advised Nigerians to always report their complaints to the dedicated contacts which are functional on a 24hours service.
The response however, didn’t stop the campaign as more individuals are speaking up about their experiences in the hands of the operatives.
