Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has been nominated for the Grammy Awards for the second time. His recent album, ‘Twice As Tall’ bagged a World Music Album nomination alongside Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tianariwen.
‘Twice As Tall’ is Burna Boy’s fifth album and was released in August 2020. It featured guest appearances from Naughty by Nature, the Kenyan band Sauti Sol, Senegal’s musical titan, Youssou N’Dour, and Chris Martin.
The 29-year-old musician, in his first attempt to win a Grammy award, lost to Beninese music legend, Angelique Kidjo. His previous album, African Giant, was nominated in the best world music album category at the 62nd Grammy Awards ceremony in January 2020.
Meanwhile, the self-acclaimed African giant took to social media to express his joy for the nomination. In a tweet posted on his official Twitter account, the singer shared a picture of himself with the caption: “Another one…………#TWICEASTALL”.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards is scheduled to hold on January 31, 2021, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
