Grammy winning superstar Burna Boy has made history yet again, becoming the first Nigerian artist to receive seven consecutive Grammy Award nominations, as officially announced by the Recording Academy.

According to reports, Burna Boy secured two nominations this year: one for his single “Love” in the Best African Music Performance category and another for his album No Sign of Weakness in the Best Global Music Album category.

These nominations bring his total career nominations to 13; far surpassing any other Nigerian artist. He first earned a Grammy nomination in 2018 and has now been nominated every year since.

Burna Boy’s consistent run of nominations underscores his enduring influence in the global music industry and highlights the expanding recognition of Afrobeats on an international stage.

As the 68th Grammy Awards ceremony approaches, set for February 1 2026 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Burna Boy will once again stand among the contenders hoping not merely to extend his streak, but to add to his win total.
