President Muhammadu Buhari, Monday, officially received Miss Favour Fabian Chiekezi, winner in the Junior Secondary School category of the National Essay Competition organized by Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
The President received Miss Chiekezi, alongside other category winners of the essay competition at a modest inside at the State House Abuja, Monday.
Miss Favour Fabian Chiekezi who emerged winner in the Junior Secondary School category of the National Essay Competition hails from Irete Autonomous Community, in Owerri West local government area of Imo State.
She was received by the President and presented with an Award of Honour after her prizes were extended to her by the organizing anti-graft commission in the country.
Buhari while addressing winners in the competitions held to mark the 20th anniversary of the commission said; “I congratulate all the awardees. Even though COVID-19 has not permitted the kind of ceremony that you deserve, Nigeria is proud of you. You are a pride to your families, institutions and to Nigeria.”
According to the organizing commission, the National Essay Competition and other competitions for students were held in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of ICPC and intended to build the capacity of the youths to always shun and fight corruption.
