By Buhari Cancels Federal Executive Council, Meets Osinbajo On Suspended SGF
Latest news from Nigeria’s seat of power confirms the cancellation of this week’s Federal Executive Council meeting by President Muhammadu Buhari. The meeting, which is a weekly important event in the Presidential Villa will not hold this week due to some renovations.
In a statement released by the presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, the meeting which should supposed to be Buhari’s first after over 3months will not hold. He however disclosed that Buhari will be holding a private meeting with Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo in his office.
He disclosed that the agenda of the meeting as submission of report of the investigation committee into the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Babachir David Lawal and Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mr Ayo Oke which was headed by the VP.
The cancellation of the FEC meeting is coming a day after a report leaked to the media that the president is yet to resume to his office because of rodents invasion, a development that has thrown the social media sphere into frenzy mood.
