President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), as the new Director General (DG) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The 67-year-old, was until his appointment, the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Drug Abuse.
Marwa, who hails from Adamawa State, served as the Military Governor of Lagos State from 1996 to 1999. His administration is revered for introducing landmark programs such as “Operation 250 Roads” which greatly improved motoring conditions in the nation’s commerical city.
