One Ebenezer Olorunleke, 24, has been arrested for allegedly killing his brother with the help of three other accomplices inOkeila area of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The Commissioner of police in the state, Mr. Asuquo Amba, stated that the suspect, who hails from Jege in Kogi State, allegedly killed his brother with a knife and screwdriver and then fled the scene with the deceased’s motorcycle.
The suspect, while confessing to the crime, claimed that it was his friend who killed his brother, adding that all they wanted was to help him collect money from the deceased as he was a stingy person.
“I did not follow them inside the room but upon realizing that my brother had been stabbed and was shouting, I rushed in necessary to rescue him but he bit me and chopped off my finger.
“The guys later stormed my residence to attack me with the intent of selling of selling my late brothers motorcycle, but I resisted and was thinking of going to the police to report when I was arrested with the motorcycle” Ebenezer said.
