Breaking! Senator Adeleke’s Death: Coroner Gives Final Verdict, States Reason Of Death Of Lawmaker

The Coroner Inquest set up by the State of Osun has given its final verdict on the cause of death of Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke. He stated that the death was a result of drug overdose. Until his death, Senator Adeleke represented the Osun West Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly. He was also the First Civilian Governor of the State.

The Coroner Chairman, Justice Olusegun Ayilara gave the verdict some moments ago in Osogbo were the final sitting was held.

Ayilara ruled out the possibility of poison killing th lawmaker as he stated in clear terms that no poison related substance were found in the autopsy and toxicologist report submitted to the Police.

“The high does of sedatives and analesics with the mode of administration caused aspiration which culminated in death.” Ayolara revealed.

The coroner had summoned 15 witnesses including the nurse that treated Adeleke shortly before he died, Mr. Alfred Aderibigbe. The pathologist, who carried out the autopsy on the corpse of the late politician, Dr. Taiwo Solaja, as well as the Chief Medical Director of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Prof. Akeem Lasisi, also testified.

Also summoned for hearing were relatives of the late lawmaker but their act of rejection of the inquest since it was set by up by the State saw them turning down the invitation as they stated that the State Government already had a predetermined report to submit which would not favour them.
