Chief Nataniel Folarin Coker, popularly known as Baba Eto of Lagos was the pioneer permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Lagos State in 1968.
According to reports gathered by BlackBox Nigeria the nonagenarian died yesterday in Lagos exactly 3weeks after his 97th birthday.
He was born on July 22, 1923. He attended CMS grammar School, Lagos and studied law at Exeter University, England.
He retired as a Permanent Secretary in 1978. He is the former Pro-chancellor and Chairman of council, university of Port Harcourt, 1993-1997.
He was a fellow of Nigerian institute of Management and Commissions, Boys Scout of Nigeria.
A prominent member of Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos, Patron of Cathedral Choir and President of cathedral torch bearers.
His son, a popular Lagos socialite, Folorunsho Folarin Coker, is an administrator and hospitality and tourism entrepreneur, who was appointed Director General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation in March 2017.
