The former security guard turned real estate merchant, Adams Barrow has been sworn in as the President of The Gambia.
Due to the unfortunate refusal of defeated incumbent, Yahya Jammeh to relinquish power, the inauguration took place in neighboring Senegal where Barrow took oath of office.
According to BBC, the event took place in Gambia’s embassy in Dakar, the Senegalese capital.
This is as a combined effort of ECOMOG forces and some foreign allies are moving in to get Jammeh, a despot who has been in power for 22years out.
BlackBox Nigeria further learnt that the embattled leader might have also gone into hiding over fears of being nabbed by the invading forces and aggrieved citizens.
