Breaking! NDDC Boss Slumps As House Committee Grills Him On N536m

The Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Daniel Pondei moments ago slumped while answering to queries at the public hearing by the House Committee on NDDC.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the Committee was asking Pondei about a certain payment of N536m paid to a certain group associated with “Save Lives of Niger Delta People” and was queried as the item was supposed to have been paid for during the 2019 budget year and is yet to be paid and accounted for when he suddenly slumped and was assisted out of the hearing.

It will be recalled that Pondei had last week walked out on the Committee as he declared that the Committee Chairman, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo was an interested party in the allegations rocking the NDDC and could not be a judge in the matter.

Earlier on Monday, Tunji-Ojo recused himself from the Committee as Chairman and the public hearing continued before Pondei fainted twice.
