The Vice Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area, Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba has won the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Motunrayo, who is the daughter of the late APC Woman Leader for Lagos East Senatorial District and first Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Mrs Fausat Gbadebo, will be running for the office of Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA under the platform of the APC in the forthcoming local government elections in Lagos State.
Recall BlackBox Nigeria had reported that her principal, the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Fatiu Salisu opted out of the race in the early hours of Saturday, 29 May, 2021 before the commencement of the primary.
According to the final results seen by BlackBox Nigeria, Motunrayo defeated her closest rivals, Hon Akeem Akinjobi and Onamade Oluwatosin Adeleke.
In Ward A, she garnered 100 votes whilst Akinjobi got 6. In Ward C, she got 221 votes followed closely by Onamade and Akinjobi with 30 and 20 respectively.
Motunrayo secured 142 votes in Ward D, ahead of Onamade who managed 143 and Akinjobi’s 29. In Ward B, while she got 42 votes, Akinjobi got 5 and Onamade didn’t get any vote.
