Acting Head of Human Resources and Administration in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Barrister Onafeko Olalekan Biliamin has been appointed the acting clerk of the House.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the deputy speaker of LAHA, Hon. Eshinloku Sanni gave the report after examining all those presented for the position. Onafeko was as the best for the position.
The appointment of Onafeko became expedient following the retirement of the former clerk of the Assembly, Mr Azeez Sanni two weeks ago.
Since then, the Deputy Clerk, Mr Taiwo Otun, has been acting as the Clerk during plenary.
The decision to appoint Onafeko as the Acting Clerk was taken at a meeting of the Principal Officers of the House with the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa last week.
Onafeko has a degree in Law and is currently the acting Head of Human Resources and Administration in the Assembly.
His new post was announced at the plenary of the Assembly today.
