Breaking! Lagos Reduces Public Gathering To 20 As COVID19 Hits 22 In Nigeria
The Lagos State Government has further reviewed downwards the number of people in public gathering to 20.
It will be recalled that the government had during the announced a ban on all public gathering and placed a directive that not more than 50 people be together at a time, an order that affected religious houses, mosques and churches.
It was gathered that the new reduction of persons in public gathering is as a result of the prevailing health threats posed by corona virus as 22 persons have tested positive to the dreadful virus.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the reduction of persons in public gathering to 20 was put in place so as to minimise the risk of spreading the virus as the State Government is still fact tracing people that might have come in contact with reported persons.
As at the time of filing this report, all persons that have been tested positive to corona virus are currently in holding facility while two others earlier tested positive are now negative, including the index case, the Italian who has since been discharged.
