Unknown gunmen have attacked Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara State.
BBC Hausa reported that over 300 students were abducted in the process.
It was gathered that the incident happened in the early hours of Friday.
The gunmen were said to have arrived the school around 1am and loaded the girls in buses.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the state police command command, SP Muhammad Shehu, told reporters: “Give me some time, I can’t say anything now.”
Recall that suspected bandits, last Wednesday, had invaded the Government Science College (GSC) Kagara, Rafi LGA of Niger state, and whisked away 27 pupils and 15 staff members, who are yet to be rescued as of Friday.
