By Breaking: Buhari Extends Lockdown In Lagos, Ogun And FCT, Abuja Till May…
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR has announced yet another extension of lockdown in three major cities across the country.
The extension was announced during the live broadcast some moments ago. President Buhari disclosed that the lockdown earlier practiced has yielded results as more cases has been discovered during the contract tracing by the Nigeria Centre for Diseases and Control, NCDC.
He added that the lockdown in Lagos, FCT Abuja and Ogun State will continue until May 2nd when new measures will be announced to relax the conditions as he said night curfew between 8pm and 6am commences today.
He said, “I have approved for a phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in FCT, Lagos and Ogun states effective from Saturday 2nd May,2020 at 9am
“For the avoidance of doubt,the lockdown in the FCT, Lagos and Ogun states shall subsist remain in place until these new ones come into effect on Saturday, 2nd May 2020 at 9am”
President Buhari also spoke about the Federal government concerns regarding the incident in Kano State which has resulted to deaths of hundreds of residents across the State.
