Breaking! APC orders rerun of Lagos Senatorial and Reps primaries

The National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress BlackBox Nigeria has learned has order a rerun of all legislative primary elections in Lagos State.

Affected by this are the Senatorial and Federal House of Representatives Primaries which have been ongoing for the last two days.

BlackBox further gathered that the three incumbent Senators from Lagos Central, Lagos East and Lagos West have however been cleared to run unopposed by the National leadership of the party. However, one of the aspirants for Lagos East Senatorial district and a four term member of the state house of Assembly, Bayo Osinowo has kicked against the decision while vowing to resist it in all ways.

According to a statement signed by the Lagos APC Chairman, Tunde Balogun, the rerun would hold throughout Lagos today, Friday October 5, 2018.

The party however disclosed that the Primaries for the State House of Assembly tickets will also continue today as planned.

“The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has ordered a rerun of the primary elections for Senate and House of Representatives throughout Lagos State today, Friday October 5, 2018,” the statement read.

Tunde Balogun further disclosed, “the House of Assembly primary election holds today as originally scheduled. All the venues for the election remain the same.
