By Breaking! 30 Senators Plot Saraki’s Impeachment As DSS Seals National Assembly
Fresh updates from Nigeria’s capital, Abuja has it that operatives of the Department of Security Service (DSS) have blocked all entrances and exits of the National Assembly.
BlackBox Nigeria reliably gathered that the move by the DSS to block all routes of the National Assembly is as a result of a plot by lawmakers loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari. It was reported that the Senators allegedly had secret meeting with leadership of the DSS late Monday night.
BBN also gathered that the plot to use the Secret Service was to hatch the plan by Senators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to impeach incumbent Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
It will be recalled that Senator Saraki had dumped the ruling party last week citing lack of internal democracy. His defection to the People’s Democratic Party came days after 13 other Senators elected on the platform of APC also defected to the PDP.
Since Saraki’s defection, news about his removal/impeachment as Senate President has gone viral as leadership of the ruling party opined that he couldn’t remain in the position after his defection.
