A disturbing video purportedly released by suspected Boko Haram fighters has been circulating online, showing scores of abducted residents from the Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State, days after a deadly militant raid.

The footage, shared widely on social media and through news websites, depicts more than 100 captives, mainly women and children, standing in rows while fighters question them about where they were seized.

In the video, one of the militants accuses the Kwara State Government of under-reporting the number of abducted people following the February 3–4 attack.

The raid on Woro and nearby Nuku villages reportedly claimed dozens of lives and forced residents to flee, with militants burning homes and abducting civilians.

President Bola Tinubu has previously attributed the assault to the Boko Haram insurgency, although local figures have also mentioned involvement by a breakaway faction known as Lakurawa.

Families of the missing have appealed for government action, while official responses to the recent video claim have not yet been issued. The release of the footage has heightened public concern over insecurity in the region and intensified calls for a swift rescue of the captives.
