Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah, widely recognized as the “Billion Dollars Prophet,” has launched an N22 million defamation lawsuit against Chef Damilola Adeparusi, known as Chef Dammy.
This legal battle stems from a recent social media dispute where Chef Dammy publicly accused Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah of threats, curses, and bullying, holding him accountable for her well-being.
The conflict escalated following her cook-a-thon event
In response to these allegations, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah, through his legal representatives at Bisayo Sule & Co Legal Practitioners, issued a stern letter dated October 23, 2023.
The letter demanded a formal retraction of the allegedly defamatory statements made by Chef Dammy on her social media platforms and in two national newspapers.
Additionally, the prophet seeks a substantial N22 million in damages for the harm caused to his reputation.
The letter stated,
“Given incalculable damage you have done to the good reputation of our client, we demand a retraction of the libelous statement on all social media, particularly your Instagram page, and in two widely read national dailies. We are demanding a sum of Twenty Million Naira Only (N20,000,000:00) as damages for the act of defamation against our client.”
Chef Dammy has been given a seven-day ultimatum from the date of service of the legal notice to comply with these demands.
Failure to do so will result in the initiation of legal proceedings.
