TikTok has announced ‘Wasiu Ayinde’ by fast rising artist BhadBoi OML as Nigeria’s Song of the Summer 2025, celebrating it as the track that defined the country’s digital music trends this season.

The single, taken from his Bhad Boi (Deluxe) project, became a huge favourite on the app, with users turning its lively rhythm and street inspired lyrics into countless short videos, dance clips, and creative remixes.

BhadBoi OML’s record has been praised for its fresh approach, mixing the energy of modern Afropop with the sound and storytelling style of Yoruba Fuji music. The result is a song that feels both nostalgic and current, appealing to audiences across age groups.

TikTok’s yearly Songs of the Summer rundown highlights the tracks that shaped online culture through heavy usage, community trends, and viral moments. In Nigeria, this year’s list reflects a wide range of musical styles and collaborations.

Other top songs include Ngishutheni by Goon Flavour, Master KG, and Eemoh, Gaddem by Rybeena featuring Shoday, and With You by Davido and Omah Lay. Big names such as Olamide, Seyi Vibez, Asake, and Young Jonn also made the list with their joint hit 99.

According to TikTok, the platform’s summer list is not just about chart numbers but about songs that connect communities and spark creativity. The 2025 edition, the company said, shows how African artists are using the platform to reach new listeners and drive musical innovation.

With “Wasiu Ayinde”, BhadBoi OML joins the growing list of young talents whose music has broken out through social media.
