Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Abiri Oluwabusayo, popularly known as Khloe, has denied allegations of assault leveled against her following a recent incident at a wedding in Lake Como, Italy.
The allegation was made by nightlife personality Sunky O, who claimed Khloe assaulted a female guest and threatened to kill him during the event. However, in a statement released via Instagram on Monday night, Khloe denied the claims and alleged that she was, in fact, the victim of a coordinated physical attack.
According to Khloe, tensions had started even before the wedding, which she described as a “joyful getaway” that turned into a “nightmare.” She stated that she had been responsible for some of the logistics involving guests, including assisting Sunky O with accommodation arrangements due to what she called his “begging” for a place to stay.
The conflict reportedly escalated when two female guests, identified as Chizoba and Caramel, who allegedly had unresolved personal issues, ended up in the same villa. Khloe claimed she encouraged them to talk through their differences but said the situation worsened during the wedding ceremony.
She alleged that Chizoba lashed out, demanded villa keys, and later attacked her physically, along with others. Khloe claimed she was slammed into a wall, dragged down the stairs, thrown against a glass surface, and almost pushed off a balcony. She added that she sustained bruises and bleeding from the assault.
“I didn’t beat her,” Khloe wrote, referring to Chizoba. “I held her tight because she was screaming. But I was the one tossed around. I was the one bleeding.”
Khloe also claimed she was punched in the stomach, a sensitive area where she recently underwent surgery. Despite pleading with her attackers to stop, she said the assault continued.
Commenting on the viral video clip in which she appeared to be smiling during the altercation, Khloe explained that she had been advised by her older friends on the phone to stay calm and not engage verbally, stating that the smile was a form of restraint.
She further noted that the police were invited to the scene and confirmed that no arrest was made. Instead, she said she was offered an ambulance and asked if she wished to press charges, which she declined.
Khloe apologized to her followers and her management team for the negative attention surrounding the incident. She admitted it was an error in judgment to allow Chizoba and Caramel in the same space without full knowledge of their history but maintained that the violence she suffered was unjustifiable.
