When I tell some close friends that I’m following #BBNaija this year, dem no dey believe.
I followed all the major characters from the onset to envision thier Strategy for survival in the House. Like a game of Chess, they scheme both in and outside the house with foot soldiers aggregating public opinions to protect thier Kings and Queens in the House.
Talking about the triangular game of Ozo, Nengi and Dorathy, or the on-the-fence game of Brighto. The most trending is the game of Erica, Kiddwaya and Laycon. Its all a game of providing contents and survival to win the ultimate price.
Going by the playbook, Laycon is deploying the craziest tactics. How do you win your enemy without raising a finger? How do you win the masses you need on your side? How do you become people’s hero?
One simple answer. Play on their emotions!
With Laycon, Erica isn’t the game instead she is the pawn he is using to play his game.
Detach emotions from the whole show and try to see each house mate as a Chess player in the game of winning N85Million. Like Efe’s “based on logistics” mantra and his street attitudes that won over many Nigerians, Laycon is exploiting another fragile part of Nigerians because that is ultimate game.
The shyness, victim card, talent display, soft words and other covert elements of his character is driven to tap into the consciousness of the majority of audience who can relate.
Who wouldn’t want to help a man that is down and looking helpless? Who wouldn’t want to stand for a man whose feelings is being played by someone he loves? Add that to the body shaming he received last night from the drunk Erica and the calmness he exercised amidst the rain of insult.
Now you have the full package of an hero everybody wants to fight for.
I stan a Strategist, I stan Laycon!
