By Leader FC of Ikorodu on Wednesday 6th September defeated Agbede lions 2 – 0 at the iconic Adamo playing group to claim the 1st Banjo Super Cup.
With dignitaries such as the Representative of Ikorodu at the Federal House, Hon. Babajimi Benson, The Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Adeola Banjo, The Supervisor for Youth, Sports and Agriculture, Hon. Tijani Sheriff and other men and women of note on the high table the finialists were not short of motivation from the stands. 
The game started a bright note as the Agbede Lions who were the youngest side in the competition showed the crowd they were no push overs by registering the first shot on target against a more matured Leaders FC.
After series of botched attempts Leaders FC drew first blood in the 53rd minute when centre back Yemi Ogunbote fired in a screamer from 30 yards to put the game at 1 – 0 in favor of Leaders FC.
Agbede Lions roared in after conceding the goal chasing an equaliser but the defense of Leaders FC appeared to be impenetrable and the keeper made soft work of all their advances.
As the tempo of the game reached it zenith the Captain of Leaders FC was shown a second yellow and consequently send off for wrestling down an advancing Agbede Lions attacker.
With a man down and the Coach also sent off for failing to manage his anger Leaders FC through right back Oloye Felix fired in a second to put the game beyond the reach of the young boys from Agbede. The game ended 2 – 0 in favour of Leaders FC. 
Agbede Lions skipper Salahudeen Kehinde scooped away with the Most valuable player award which was accompied by a 10,000 naira cash prize sponsored By Mr. Toyin Gafar Bolowotan while Moruf Ganiyu picked him the Highest Goal scorer award.
The chairman of the Local Council Development Area, Hon. Adeola Banjo presented the trophy which was accompanied with a cheque of 150,000 naira to the Captain of Leaders FC, the champions of the 1st Banjo Super Cup.
Agbede Lions also won themselves a 100,000 naira while 3rd placed team Megida FC left with a total sum of 50,000.
