Badmus Uthman emerges 31st President of Lagos State University Students’ Union

 

A 300 level student of Political Science Education, Faculty of Education, Badmus Uthman Oladipupo popularly known as Badecious, has been elected as the 31st President of the Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU).

The election, held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, was conducted through the e-voting system across the university campuses.

According to the official results announced by the Students’ Union Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Chairman, Hon. Areh Olabowale, Badecious secured 3,437 votes to defeat his only contender, Andrew Fuhad, also known as Dynamight, from the Faculty of Law, who managed 1,686 votes.

This development means the highest office in the Students’ Union will be occupied by a student of the Faculty of Education after 25 years since it last produced a LASUSU President.
