The fourth term agenda of Layode better known as OIL has continually led to several debates and controversy especially on social media with the youth of Badagry vowing to resist his candidature.
One of the most vocal in this group is Sewedo Samuel, the Media Aide to the Badagry Local Government Chairman, Hon. Segun Onilude.
Sewedo Samuel, an activist and community youth leader yesterday took to Facebook to declare that he will rather resign should his boss, the council chairman “compel” him to support the fourth term agenda.
Like Sewedo Samuel, other Badagry youth have lent their voices to the campaign against Honorable Layode who first got to the Assembly in 2007 to represent Constituency 1.
The youths are calling on the people most especially political leaders to desist from presenting OIL again for another term. These young people many of whom are sympathetic to the ruling All Progressives Congress have vowed to vote against the party should Layode be presented again.
Layode who is an in-law of the Akran of Badagry is yet to react to the campaign against him even as observers posit that this is the end of the road for him.
