The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Hunpe-Adande Babatunde, has commenced an ambitious infrastructure assessment tour across the council area, pledging rapid execution of key projects within his first 100 days in office.

On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the chairman visited the Pota Primary Health Center in Ward I and the Ajara-Vetho Townhall in Ward E, promising urgent interventions and long-term overhauls.

At the Pota Primary Health Center, which has suffered neglect, Hon. Hunpe ordered immediate repairs, including generator servicing, national grid reconnection, and environmental clean-up.

He pledged a full renovation of the facility, complete with modern equipment, to be delivered within the 100-day timeframe.

“I came here personally because I believe leadership must be proactive. We’ll make this facility functional in the short term, then overhaul it completely,” Hunpe stated.

He also inspected the Ajara-Vetho Townhall project, announcing plans for a structural integrity test before completing and commissioning it.

“This townhall is vital to the people of this ward. We will ensure it’s safe and delivered as promised,” he affirmed.

Hunpe was joined by Vice Chairman Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, Chief of Staff Hon. Towolawi Taiwo, Council Manager Mrs. Olusanya Mary Abosede, and other top officials.

The visits mark the chairman’s first major move post-inauguration and signal a governance approach grounded in accountability, visibility, and community-centered development.
