The House of Representatives member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Adegoke Benson, today toured the ongoing construction of the Asolo/Agric Road in Lagos State.
During the visit, Rep. Benson expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the project and extended his gratitude to the community for their support and cooperation with the contractors.
“I am pleased with what I’ve seen today and grateful to everyone for their continued support,” Benson stated.
Alhaji Rasheed Oseni, the Ikorodu North Community Development Service (CDS) chairman, seized the opportunity to request further development, urging Rep. Benson to extend his support to the construction of the Agbede/Ita Oluwo Road.
In response, Rep. Benson stressed the importance of completing the current Asolo/Agric Road project before moving on to future initiatives. “Let us commission this road first, and then we can consider the Agbede/Ita Oluwo road. The current road will be completed within the next month, and after commissioning, we’ll assess our next steps,” he assured.
Residents expressed their gratitude for the ongoing construction, highlighting the positive impact it has had on their daily lives and businesses.
“This road means a lot to us. Thanks to Babajimi Benson for championing this project. Our businesses were suffering due to poor roads, but now, with construction nearing completion, there’s hope for revival,” shared a local shop owner.
Another resident added, “It has always been difficult during the rainy season because of the bad roads, but thanks to Babajimi Benson, we’re seeing real progress.”
