Nigerian Afrobeats stars Ayra Starr and Rema have announced a new single titled “Who’s Dat Girl,” which will be released on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Both artists confirmed the collaboration through posts shared on their Instagram pages. The teaser image shows Ayra Starr and Rema lifting their shirts to reveal airbrushed portraits of each other printed on their bodies. The post quickly gained wide attention online, with Ayra Starr captioning it, “Who’s Dat Girl ft. @heisrema out Friday 1 a.m. WAT.”
This will be the first official joint single between Ayra Starr and Rema under Mavin Records, where they are both signed. The two previously appeared together on the label’s 2022 collective track “Won Da Mo,” alongside other Mavin artists.
Ayra Starr has continued to establish herself as one of Afrobeats’ leading voices following the release of her album “The Year I Turned 21.” The project has received praise for its vocal range and contemporary Afropop sound.
Rema, who gained international success with his hit single “Calm Down,” remains one of Nigeria’s most streamed artists globally. His collaborations and solo projects have contributed to the worldwide growth of Afrobeats.
Details about the producers or songwriting credits for “Who’s Dat Girl” have not yet been made public. Both artists have, however, confirmed that the song will be released across all major streaming platforms on October 17, 2025.
