Ayodeji Rilwan Tinubu, popularly known as ART25, has taken a major step forward in his bid to become Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, following a successful screening and mounting support from key stakeholders.

Tinubu, a respected researcher, writer, and political protection specialist, has built momentum with a vision centered on service, commitment, and grassroots development.

His candidacy recently received a significant boost when he was honored by the Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Legislative Council with the “Exceptional and Visionary Leader Award” during a plenary session held on November 26, 2024.

During the session, the Legislative Leader, Hon. Olujobi Tajudeen, hailed Tinubu as a dynamic and forward-thinking figure capable of ushering in positive change in Lagos Mainland.

Other council members echoed the praise, citing Tinubu’s pivotal role in organizing educational visits to Suffolk County Council and Ipswich Borough Council.

The initiatives were credited with enhancing the legislative council’s understanding of governance and improving their ability to serve constituents.

While the All Progressives Congress (APC) maintains that its selection process remains open and unbiased with national leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu reiterating that he holds no preferences for local government aspirants.

With APC primaries on the horizon, observers say Tinubu’s combination of visionary leadership, strategic support, and deep-rooted community engagement make him a strong prospect to clinch the party’s ticket for Lagos Mainland Chairmanship.
