Former Lagos Chairmanship Aspirant, Ayodeji Rilwan Tinubu (ART) has been appointed as the Strategic Mobilization Coordinator for the UK Youth arm of the City Boy Movement, a role aimed at strengthening youth engagement and support ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 political cycle.
ART announced the appointment on Tuesday, describing it as a call to service at a critical time that demands renewed commitment and action within the movement.
He said the new responsibility offers him an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to advancing the mandate of the group’s leadership.
The City Boy Movement is widely known for its support of President Bola Tinubu and its efforts to mobilize young people across different regions, including the diaspora.
Expressing gratitude, Tinubu thanked the UK Youth Coordinator, Mr. Yemi Soile, and the UK Director of the movement, Prince Abidemi Akintunde, for their leadership and confidence in his capacity.
He also acknowledged the Director General, Mr. Tosin Shoga, for his vision and commitment to the growth of the organization.
In his new role, Tinubu is expected to serve as a link between UK-based members and Nigerian youth, focusing on strategic mobilization and engagement to expand the movement’s reach and influence.
He pledged to discharge his duties with diligence, loyalty, and excellence, emphasizing that the appointment represents not just a position, but a responsibility to help build a stronger and more united future.
