Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the viral video showing President Bola Tinubu slipping while boarding the presidential parade vehicle at Eagles Square in Abuja.
The incident occurred shortly after Tinubu arrived at the venue for the 2024 Democracy Day celebrations.
Atiku shared the video on X platform, expressing sympathy for the President and hoping that he is well. “I sincerely sympathize with President Bola Tinubu, #officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him,” Atiku wrote.
Nigerians have also taken to social media to react to the video, with some mocking the President and others downplaying the incident since he continued with the ceremonial rounds without any further issues.
Despite the brief slip, Tinubu regained his balance with the assistance of his security aides and proceeded with the proceedings.
